Woman allegedly injures husband for giving more time to first wife

KARACHI: Police on Sunday arrested a woman who allegedly injured her husband by opening fire on him in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Hadeed area.

Initially, the woman told police that she wounded her husband as he was giving more time to his first wife.

Later on, she retracted from her former statement. The woman while speaking to Geo News denied opening fire on her husband.

She said that it was a ‘routine’ fight and she had a bat in her hand while the husband was armed with a pistol during the fight.

The woman, Taj Bibi, said that she hit her husband with a bat, while the husband alleged she fired at him.

Police found a 30 bore shell from the site of the incident.

The husband is currently out of danger and under treatment in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Hospital.

Additional Police Surgeon JPMC Dr Kaleem said the wound on the victim’s head is of a wooden object such as a bat and not of a bullet.
