Sohail Aman praises sacrifices of soldiers fighting against terrorists around world

DUBAI: Air Chief Marshal and Chief of Air Staff Pakistan Air Force Sohail Aman praised the sacrifices of soldiers fighting against terrorists around the world at the ongoing International Air Power and Air Defense Symposium (KIAPADS) in Kuwait.

On the first day of the two-day conference, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman gave an address on “Air Power in Pakistan’s Counter-Terrorism Operations – Lessons Learned and Future Capacity-Building Requirements”.

The symposium (KIAPADS) is being held under the patronage of the Kuwait Ministry of Defense and supported by the Kuwait Air Force in Kuwait city and organised by SEGMA.

More than 250 high-level delegates from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Jordan, Pakistan, France, the United Kingdom and United States are participating in the symposium.

Air Chief began his address by honoring the sacrifices of soldiers engaged in the fight against terrorists around the world.

Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman spoke about the crucial need for an effective national policy framework for counter-terrorism under which military operations take place with considerable assistance from the air force.

The air chief marshal also referred to the PAF’s role in the war against terror and said that besides fighter jets, other planes also contributed significantly in the fight against terrorists.

Explaining Operation Zarb-e-Azb in Pakistan, Sohail Aman explained to the participants about PAF’s air strikes, which were responsible for paving the way for unhindered movement of ground troops to recapture territories that had been lost to terrorists.
