COAS visits family of martyred Major Mudassar

RAWALPINDI: General Qamar Javed Bajwa Chief of Army Staff visited the family of Major Mudassar Shaheed at Rawalpindi who sacrificed his life for Pakistan in Village Mirak, Kalaya  Orakzai Agency on March 22, an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement said.

Parents and widow of Shaheed expressed their pride for being family of the Shaheed-e-Watan. COAS hailed their patriotic emotions and said that no one can harm Pakistan which has such brave parents and families.

During the incident, five terrorists including a high-value target of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in an intelligence-based operation by FC personnel on March 22.

The high-value target identified as Durran was involved in multiple terrorist activities and had come from Afghanistan to target the Nowroz procession in Orakzai agency as well as the individuals who surrendered before Pakistani security forces, said an earlier ISPR statement.
