British boxer of Pakistani origin Amir Khan and his wife Faryal Makhdoom made headlines in the past due to the then raging family feud, although now it seems that the two have extended an olive branch.

In the holy month, the spirit of forgiveness is alive and the couple has tried to make the most of the opportunity.

According to a Sun news, the boxer posted on his social media account: “My dad and I at the pak v ind cricket match last weekend. We both had a great time together. Faryal and I decided to put everything behind us. She played a big part in helping me move forward. Life is too short.”

“It’s the month of Ramadan. This is the month Allah asks us to clean our hearts & love one another. A lot has happened but my wife and I have accepted to move forward with a clean heart. We hope to expect the same from others ???? Ameen.”

Although the post is no longer there, but on Amir’s Twitter account he has a picture with his dad at the India-Pak match in Birmingham.

The couple and their families were thrown into the limelight when Faryal took to social media last year accusing her in-laws of subjecting her to verbal abuse and criticising her for her ‘modern’ way of dressing and living.

The accusations triggered a war of words between her and the boxer’s family, with Amir Khan caught in the crosshairs. The situation became all the more embarrassing for the couple when an ‘inappropriate’ video tape of the boxer emerged, intensifying the feud.

Amir Khan and Faryal also did not show up at his brother’s wedding celebration in Bolton.

Faryal had revealed that no one bothered to invite the couple to the wedding event
