Shuffle in police dept: Mushtaq Mahar transferred, replaced by Ghulam Thebo

KARACHI: Sindh government shuffled on Monday the top brass of the police department.

Mushtaq Ahmed Mahar, who was serving as additional inspector general of police (AIG) Karachi range, has been transferred and posted as AIG traffic Sindh, according to a notification of the government’s services, general, administration and coordination department.

Mahar has been replaced by Ghulam Qadir Thebo, who was serving as chairman Enquiries and Anti-Corruption Establishment Sindh.

Moreover, former AIG Traffic Sindh Khadim Hussain Bhatti has been transferred and posted as AIG research, development and inspection, Sindh, according to the notification signed by Chief Secretary Sindh Rizwan Memon.

Former AIG Research, Development and Inspection, Sindh Sardar Abdul Majeed had been posted as AIG, Sindh.

Ex-AIG, Sindh, Dr Aftab Ahmed Pathan has been posted as AIG crime branch, Sindh, relieving Additional IGP/CTD Sindh Dr Sanaullah Abbasi of the additional charge.

All the postings and transfers have been made with immediate effect.
