RAWALPINDI: The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Tuesday said that Pakistan is a resilient, sports-loving nation.

“Pakistanis are peace and sports-loving resilient nation, bound to rise despite all challenges," the military’s media wing tweeted on behalf of the COAS on the successful conclusion of the Pakistan Motor Rally organised by the Pakistan Army.

Director General (DG) of the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asif Ghafoor in a tweet said that the army chief believes that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be successful.

"CPEC will be truly successful when it lifts Balochistan to its rightful place. [The] army shall extend full support for its socio-economic development,” the DG ISPR tweeted.

The motor rally, which began on October 21 and concluded today (October 31) upon reaching Gawadar, was organised to commemorate the 70th year of the country's independence.

It included 103 vehicles and 82 motorbikes drawn from different motor clubs across the country.
