Hasan Ali plays cricket with childhood friends

Pakistani fast bowler Hasan Ali is not one to forget his past. After making waves in the world of cricket and becoming the top ICC ODI bowler, Hasan Ali went to Mandi Bahuddin to play a match with his childhood friends.

“We are really happy. A childhood friend of ours after becoming an international cricketer has come back to play with us,” said a friend.

Young and old alike were present at the stadium to watch the national hero, who surprisingly shined with the bat.

Hasan Ali did not speak to the media and even after losing his wicket remained in the ground instead of returning to the pavilion. 

Hasan first played cricket in his native town of Ladhay Wala Wraich near Gujranwala, an area famous for producing wrestlers and kabbadi players.

He became the joint third fastest bowler to claim 50 one-day wickets with the mark achieved in 23 matches, the same number as Australian icon Dennis Lillee and four games fewer than Waqar.
