Eyeing glory in PSL2019, teams continue to work hard before the mega event

DUBAI: With the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League now just couple of days away, all the teams have started to gear up for the biggest extravaganza of Pakistan Cricket.

All six teams participating in the tournament had their practice sessions at ICC academy on Monday.

The day started with Lahore Qalandars gearing up with another targeted scenario training.

The coach Aaqib Javed had given batsmen the task to score 130/5 in 15 overs. The bowlers of team were assigned to defend the score.

Batsman Haris Sohail and spinner Yasir Shah also joined the Qalandars squad and participated in the session while Shaheen Shah Afridi and Fakhar Zaman have also arrived in Dubai.

Late in the evening AB de Villiers, the most sought after player of PSL, also arrived in Dubai to boost Qalandars’ campaign.

Karachi Kings also held their first training session today. Wasim Akram was also present at the session who was seen passing tips to bowling duo of Usman Khan and Mohammad Aamir.

Former champion Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators had their separate training sessions as well while Multan Sultans played the warm up match against Islamabad United.

On Tuesday, teams will be heading to Dubai Cricket Stadium for the unveiling of PSL trophy which will be followed by press conference of all six captains.
