DUBAI: Peshawar Zalmi's Hasan Ali said Sunday night the Pakistan Super League (PSL) has helped boost his confidence as a cricketer.

Speaking to Geo.tv here in the United Arab Emirates, Ali reminisced how he started his journey on the same field three years ago.

"The standard of the PSL's matches is no lesser than that of the international ones," he said. "Playing the PSL has helped me a lot in the international matches."

The series, he noted, was a great platform for emerging talent.

"The PSL will give Pakistan a lot of talent in future as well," the cricketer said, adding that Lahore Qalandars' Haris Rauf was one of those talented players who could possibly play for the national team.

Rauf "has pace and swing and he's a good bowler", Ali commented.
