ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party leader and former foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar on Tuesday announced to send a defamation notice to Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry over alleging that Khar has taken a stay order in a gas default case.

The information minister, earlier, in a press conference accused Khar of involvement in financial embezzlement. Reacting over the press conference, the former foreign minister in a tweet announced in a tweet that she will send a defamation notice to the minister.

“I am serving a defamation notice to the Hon Min for Information. In my 16 yrs in politics I have always chosen to ignore slander & false allegations but it seems politics has now been reduced to name calling, false accusations & character assassination,” she tweeted over Chaudhry’s allegations.

In response to her tweet, Chaudhry uploaded an official paper on the social network indicting that Khar’s ‘Galay Textile Mills’ is a defaulter of Rs27.019 million.

“Dear ⁦Hina Rabbani Khar plz find enclosed details of your default, now please pay your outstanding bills instead of wasting money on lawyers.. thank you,” he tweeted.
