Karachi man shoots wife, daughter dead over 'domestic spat' in Gadap Town

KARACHI: A man opened fire on and killed his wife and daughter late Wednesday over was authorities said was a "domestic spat" here in the city's Gadap Town.

According to officials at the Gadap Town police station, suspect Maula Bakhsh — a resident of Haji Ibrahim Goth — used a 9mm pistol to murder his wife and daughter, the latter of whom was wounded but succumbed to her injuries in the hospital.

The deceased were identified as Anisa and Shehrbano, police said. The suspect, however, managed to escape arrest, they added, but raids were being carried out to search for him.
