JIT formed to investigate Dr Imran Farooq murder suspects
KARACHI: A joint investigation team headed by a senior FIA was formed Tuesday to question two suspects in the Imran Farooq murder case earlier arrested from the Pak-Afghan border in Chaman.

According to sources, the JIT will be headed by Inam Ghani, Director FIA Rawalpindi Zone, and will also include representatives from the country's intelligence agencies.

Sources said that the suspects Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim will be investigated by the JIT.

Meanwhile, sources said that a visiting team of Scotland Yard investigators is expected to get access to another key suspect, Muazzam Ali, in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Muazzam was arrested from Karachi two months ago and is alleged to have facilitated in sending Mohsin Ali and Kashif, the alleged murderers of Dr Imran Farooq, to London.
