Sindh Assembly session adjourned for lack of quorum
KARACHI: The Sindh Assembly session was adjourned on Tuesday due to the quorum not being complete.

PPP leader Nisar Khuhro told reporters that the speaker has the right to adjourn the session if the quorum is not complete. “The speaker reiterated that why can members not arrive on time,” Khuhro said.

MQM leaders were critical of the decision to adjourn the assembly session without ringing the warning bell stating that today was a private members day and they had several things to say.

“This is the second time that the session has been adjourned without completing formalities and against rules and regulations,” said MQM MPA Syed Sardar Ahmed.

MQM MPA Khawaja Izhar-ul-Hasan said instead of holding the session on 100 days of the year the government should hold it on 70 days which would also be difficult.

The MQM also submitted a resolution against allegations leveled by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
