SINGAPORE: Oil prices slipped in Asian trade Wednesday as weak Chinese manufacturing activity fuelled concerns over energy demand in the world's second biggest economy, analysts said.

New York's main contract, West Texas Intermediate for delivery in
September, was down 27 cents at $106.96 a barrel in mid-morning trade, while Brent North Sea crude for September shed 22 cents to $108.20.
