NEW DELHI:  Ten men disguised as policemen carried out a jailbreak on Sunday by firing over a hundred rounds at the Nabiha Jail in Punjab’s Patiala District.

Khalistan Liberation Force Chief Harminder Singh Mintoo and four of his men managed to break out of jail.

Following the jailbreak security has been beefed up at the jail and an investigation into the incident has been launched.

Mintoo was arrested in 2014 for heading the separatist group which demands a homeland for Sikhs.
