RAWALPINDI: Seven accused including former president General (retired) Pervez Musharraf has been indicted in the Benazir Bhutto assassination case on Tuesday here, Geo News reported.

General (retired) Pervez Musharraf was brought to the Rawalpindi Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) from sub-jail in Chak Shahzad in stiff security arrangements.

ATC Judge Chaudhry Habibur Rahman was hearing the case here.

During the hearing, the eight-page charge sheet was read out to him, which Pervez Musharraf denied. He was charged for murder, terrorism and under Explosives Act, sources said.

Pervez Musharraf was indicted on three counts over the 2007 murder of former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto, a public prosecutor said. "He was charged with murder, criminal conspiracy for murder and facilitation for murder," Chaudhry Azhar told AFP.

The court after denial of the framed charges by Pervez Musharraf seeking evidence from the prosecutor adjourned the hearing until August 27.

Saud Aziz, Khurran Shahzad, Abdul Rashid, Sher Zaman, Rafaqat Hussain and Husnain Gul were the other accused also indicted in the BB murder case.
