Pak-India DGMOs to meet on December 24
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Director General Military Operations (DGMO)invited his Indian counterpart for a meeting on December 24.

According to Indian Media reports, the Indian DGMO accepted the invitation and the meeting will take place at the Wagah border.

The purpose of the meeting is to curtail tension along the Line of Control (LoC). Sources add that the decision to meet was taken during the September meeting between Prime Ministers Nawaz Sharif and Manmohan Singh in New York.

During the Nawaz-Manmohan meeting it was decided that both countries would abide by the 2003 ceasefire agreement to end tension along the border.
