Bannu police neutralize terrorist, recover explosives

BANNU: A major terror bid was prevented here after police found out that an outlaw that they had shot dead in an encounter was a terrorist belonging to a banned outfit, Geo News reported.

District Police Officer (DPO) Haji Mohammad Iqbal told Geo News that police not only neutralized a potential threat but also recovered an AK-47, five hand grenades, and a suicide vest.

Haji Iqbal further said the police were trying to identify the slain terrorist, however he confirmed that the culprit was an activist of an outlawed militant organization.
