5 killed, 7 injured as forces target militant hideouts in NWA

PESHAWAR: At least five militants were killed and seven others injured as security forces pounded militant hideouts in North Waziristan tribal region on the third consecutive day.

According to reports, the troops backed by helicopter gunship targeted the hideouts in Defgan area of Mir Ali.

A curfew has been clamped in the tribal area as forces continue to attack militant hideouts.

Scores of suspected militants have been killed in the air strikes and ground offensive over the last couple of days.
