Jang Group van attacked in Lahore

LAHORE: A Jang Group van delivering copies of the Daily Jang and The News was attacked here on Abbott Road.

Unknown attackers in a car and on a motorcycle hurled a petrol bomb on the van which was delivering newspapers of the Jang Group. The van had left from Davis Road to the Paper Market at 5 AM when the attackers stopped it at Abbott Road.

The attackers used abusive language and threatened the driver while a petrol bomb was used to set fire to the van. The driver managed to escape while fire fighters were able to control the blaze after thousands of newspapers were burnt.

A case has been registered against unknown attackers at the Qila Gujar Singh police station. Police officials said a team has been formed to investigate the attack and with the help of CCTV cameras the criminals will soon be caught.
