Funeral prayers of Tahira Asif to be offered today

LAHORE: Funeral prayers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s lawmaker Tahira Asif, who succumbed to her injuries Thursday night are expected to be offered at 2:00 pm Friday.

She was attacked by two unidentified gunmen in the Allama Iqbal Town police precincts on Wednesday and passed away during treatment at a local hospital, late Thursday night.

Upon the announcement of her death a large number of MQM workers gathered outside the hospital and chanted slogans against the government.
