PAT workers proceed towards PM House
ISLAMABAD: Armed with sticks Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) workers are proceedings towards the Prime Minister House.

The security of the Pak Secretariat has been taken over by the army and Rangers while barricades have been set up to stop workers from reaching the PM House.

The Interior Ministy has directed police and Rangers to ensure the security of Pak Secretariat and PM House.

PAT workers have also surrounded Parliament and were directed by their chief Dr Tahirul Qadri to not let any parliamentarians exit. Qadri had also directed them to stop Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif from leaving parliament until he resigns; however the prime minister exited through the President House gate and made his way to the PM House.

Pakistan Army has categorically stated that the buildings in the Red Zone are symbols of state and the military is providing protection to them.

Director General (DG) Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Asim Bajwa tweeted that state symbol buildings must be respected.

The DG ISPR said all issues should be resolved through dialogue. Major General Asim Bajwa advised all the stakeholders to hold result-oriented dialogue in the interest of the country and its people.
