SC decision to vacate Constitution Ave not applicable on PTI: Imran
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan said on Tuesday that the decision of the Supreme Court to vacate Constitution Avenue was not applicable on his party.

In an interview to an Indian news channel, Khan said the PTI sit-in was not taking place on Constitution Avenue. The PTI chairman said his party wanted those behind rigging during the 2013 general elections to be held accountable.

Imran Khan added that an independent probe of rigging could not be conducted until Nawaz Sharif remained prime minister.

"The investigation cannot be held under Nawaz Sharif because he is the beneficiary of this election. He should step down and they should have another one of their party member become prime minister. There should be an investigation and pending the investigation he (Nawaz Sharif) should stay out as the prime minister. Once the investigation clears him he comes back his government stays, but if the investigation proves the electoral fraud which my party and everyone believes is massively rigged then we go for re-elections."

According to Imran Khan after Afzal Khan’s statements regarding election rigging, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had lost legitimacy.
