Violent clashes erupt in other cities after Islamabad showdown
KARACHI: Clashes between police and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf workers erupted in other cities of the country after Imran Khan and Tahiurl Qadri announced to shift their sit-ins in front of the prime minister house, prompting police to use tear gas and rubber bullets to keep the protesters at bay.

Enraged political workers took to the streets in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi against use of force in Islamabad.

PTI workers pelted police with stones near Faizabad while policemen baton charged angry Tehreek-e-Insaf activists near Liberty Chwok.

The PTI workers vandalized shops at the Liberty Chowk. Large number of PTI workers gathered at Karachi’s Shahra-e-Faisal, suspending vehicular traffic on the city’s main thoroughfare.
