MQM will not return to assembly till apology
ISLAMABAD: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), MNA Rasheed Godil says party members will not return to the assembly until an apology is tendered for likening the word ‘Mohajir’ to an abuse.

Protesting in the National Assembly before party members staged a walk out, Godil said, that hijrat (migration) is not an abuse, adding that those likening mohajir or hijrat to an abuse should investigat it under the blasphemy law.

Godil protested, that certain elements are trying to sideline Mohajirs adding that when migrated they did not come empty handed like beggars, they left behind their wealth, property and livelihood and came to Pakistan.

They were to receive the abandoned properties but instead all they received was hunger, difficulties and a shroud. He added that India created provinces after partition, but no one in India cried that the land will not be partitioned.
