MQM observes black day over Shah’s statement today
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) is observing a black day today Sunday across the country to register its protest over the remarks of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Khursheed Shah.

Addressing a press conference here Saturday, MQM leader Abdul Haseeb Khan said that Khursheed Shah’s remarks had drawn widespread anger from the Muslim Ummah.

“Even the Holy book of Qur’an contains the word Mohajir at eight places,” he said.

Abdul Haseeb said all party workers will wear black arm bands and hoist black flags.

Public transport remains thin while majority of business centers also remained shut on the MQM’s appeal.

Protest demonstrations have been planned at Shahrah-e-Faisal and Shahra-e-Quaideen for 3:00PM today.
