Several petrol stations shut in Lahore after price slash
LAHORE: Petrol stations in several areas of the city remained closed on Saturday after the price of petroleum products was drastically slashed by the government a day earlier.

Consumers were seen on roads of Lahore looking for petrol on Saturday after station owners refused to open shop and sell petrol bought at higher rates on the price set by the government. Consumers said that the government had decreased the price but should also have made sure that petrol was available.

According to the district administration, five petrol stations have been sealed for selling at an inflated price. A petrol station owner and two managers were also taken into custody while 90 teams were conducted raids at stations across the city.
