Hong Kong stocks open 0.12 percent higher

HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares edged up 0.12 percent on bargain-buying in opening exchanges Wednesday, despite a sell-off on Wall Street.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 27.18 points to 22,697.68 in the first few minutes of trade.
