Peshawar school principal laid to rest in ancestral village
PESHAWAR: Brave Tahira Qazi, the principal of the unfortunate Army Public School, who embraced martyrdom on Tuesday was laid to rest in her ancestral village.

Tahira Qazi was not just an outstanding teacher but an excellent mother as well. Although she had a chance to run and save her life, she stood her ground in the face of sure death and did whatever she possible could to save the students.

The martyred principal’s funeral prayers were offered in Peshawar’s suburban area of Landi Arbab. A large number of people, including the faculty members of her school, attended the prayers.

Tahira Qazi was born in Landi Arabab and got the degree of M Ed from Peshawar University. She began her career as an academician in 1970 and served as a teacher in a number of educational institutions.

She had joined the Army Public School in 1994 as teacher and became principal of the same school in 2006. She remained associated to the cause of education till the day she breathed her last.
