Everyone must unite against terrorists: Mamnoon Hussain
QUETTA: President Mamnoon Hussain while addressing a gathering at the Quaid-e-Azam Residency in Ziarat, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan, said that the Peshawar tragedy has deeply hurt the whole nation and caused a major setback.

He went on to say that everyone must unite against the terrorists as now it was the time to make things right. He said that Pakistan will be at peace once we have eliminated all traces of terrorism and that the nation has complete faith in its armed forces.

The president further said that Pakistan must stand up again bravely and show no fear to the terrorists and provide moral support to the armed forces so that the enemy is weakened to the core as soon as possible.

With regards to the Quaid-e-Azam Residency attack of last year, he said that terrorists tried their best to destroy it to the ground but it we can still overcome such incidents in the light of knowledge and guidance provided by the founder of the nation.

He went on to say that the Balochistan government restored the Residency back to its original condition through its efforts. The president also said that very soon Balochistan would be the key corridor for the economy to flourish further in Pakistan and the Gwadar port would also be very active soon as well as a Gwadar airport will be developed.

Earlier on Thursday, while addressing a Christmas congregation at Holy Rosy Church in Cantonment area, the president said that terrorists have no religion and that the Peshawar school attack is as horrifying as the deadly church bombing of last year in Peshawar.

Commander Southern Command, Lieutenant General Nasir Khan Janjua and Khalil Bhutto, minority affairs member of National Assembly were also present on the occasion.

The President further said that he was highly hounoured to be present at this congregation, while wishing the Christian community well on the occasion of Christmas.

He went on to say that the people of Pakistan want to live peacefully and happily as individuals and as a nation and it is only a handful of terrorists that have made everyone’s lives miserable.

With regards to last year’s Peshawar church bombing as well as the ill-fated Kot Radha Kishan incident in which a Christian couple were burnt alive, he said that it is extremely disheartening that the Christian community was targeted in both.
