Asif sees no fault of his in power crisis

SIALKOT: Federal Minister for Water and Power, Khawaja Asif on Sunday said it is not because of a fault of the concerned minister (himself) that the country is presently faced with a major crisis of power and held national security responsible for it.

Talking to Geo News, Kawaja Asif said the terrorists launched three attacks on gas pipelines in just two days. During the two previous nights, they destroyed pipelines through which gas is supplied to Uch power plant.

The Oil and Gas Development Company (OGDC) made arrangements on an emergency basis to keep the power supply in order but the unknown assailants struck again between the night of Saturday and Sunday.

He, however, said repairs are being made and the electricity crisis will be overcome soon.
