Waqar submits World Cup report to PCB chairman

LAHORE: Pakistan’s coach Waqar Younis has submitted the team’s World Cup report to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Sharyar Khan.

In the report, Waqar Younis has advised the PCB to find power hitters in the team as the battling lineup failed the green shirts in the tournament. Waqar Younis in the report also said that the attitude of some batsmen during the World Cup was not serious and batsmen who know how to play shots should be included in the squad.

According to Waqar the new captain of the ODI team should not be a senior player rather a youngster should be given this opportunity.

Pakistan lost in the quarter-finals of the mega tournament to Australia. The team won four games in the group stage but had lost to West Indies and rivals India.
