Qureshi asks why Jinnah Ground off-limits for PTI
LAHORE: Vice Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shah Mehmood Qureshi Tuesday said why is it that his party was barred from holding a political rally in Jinnah Ground, Karachi.

In a statement issued here, Shah Mehmood Qureshi said there was no truth in the MQM claims that PTI workers tore up or removed MQM’s posters.

“MQM is unnecessarily over-reacting,” he said, adding PTI and MQM can together devise a code-of-conduct for the upcoming by-polls.

He said it was government’s responsibility to maintain peace in NA-246 constituency.

The PTI leader said his party decided to contest for NA-246 constituency to present its own point of view.

He said PTI had no intention to get into any kind of confrontation, adding, it only wanted to promote and take forward the democratic process.
