JUI-F announces support to JI candidate in NA-246 by-poll
KARACHI: The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) announced on Tuesday its support to the candidate of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) for the upcoming by-election in NA-246 constituency of the city.

Speaking to the media after meeting with a delegation of JI at his office here, JUI-F leader Qari Mohammad Usman said that the party will fully support the JI candidate in the April 23 by-poll.

JI’s Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, on the occasion, claimed that the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) was running their election campaign with the covert support of Sindh Election Commission against his party.

He also claimed that MQM leader Babar Ghauri illegally appointed over 700 fake officers in Port Qasim. Rehman added that the Election Commission staff was assigning polling duties to MQM activists working in Steel Mills, Port Qasim and other government departments that was not acceptable.
