Two convicts executed in Punjab jails

LAHORE: Two death row prisoners were sent to the gallows in Lahore and Sahiwal jails early morning Saturday, while the execution of one convict in Faisalabad was postponed.

According to sources, convict Arshad was hanged in Kot Lakhpat Jail for committing a murder of two people in 1991.

Death row prisoner Mohammad Wazir was hanged in Central Jail Sahiwal for killing a man over enmity.

Meanwhile, convict Saleem’s execution was deferred at the last moment in Central Jail Faisalabad.
