KKF volunteers being arrested: Farooq Sattar
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Dr Farooq Sattar on Saturday claimed that the volunteers of his party's welfare wing, Khidmat Khalq Foundation (KKF) were being arrested, alleging that the ongoing targeted operation is directed towards his party.

According to a statement issued here, Sattar said thousands of MQM workers have been arrested after the closure of party offices.

He said 135 workers of his party were in the custody of Rangers and police, adding some of the arrests were not even made public.

Dr. Sattar wondered whether collecting Zakaat and Fitra for a welfare organization a crime, claiming the receipts of Zakaat and Fitra were being tracked down as lists of weapons.

Sattar also warned the government of launching a protest drive if operation against his party is not stopped.

"We can start the protest from Chief Minister House or elsewhere", he added.

The MQM leader said the 'red card' has been shown to the government and if the foul play still continues then the public will take to the streets and Altaf Hussain or his party will not be responsible for it.
