MQM leaders address protest rally near Quaid’s mausoleum
KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) protest rally has been stopped near the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum in Karachi.

The MQM called for a peaceful protest against raids on its campaign offices and arrests of its workers for Thursday, with the intention of marching on the Sindh Rangers headquarters to register their protest.

The rally began its march from Liaquatabad, led by party leaders and a large number of workers and supporters. The police put containers on the roads near the Quaid-e-Azam’s mausoleum to restrict the rally from marching into the red-zone.

MQM leaders Dr. Farooq Sattar, Haider Abbas Rizvi, Aamir Khan, Faisal Subzwari addressed the rally near the Quaid’s mausoleum demanding that the party be allowed to contest the local government elections.
