Rimsha case: Court grants 14-day judicial remand of Imam
ISLAMABAD: The local court of magistrate Nasrum Minallah Sunday granted 14-day judicial remand of Khalid Jadoon, the Imam (prayer leader) of a mosque, and sent him to Adiala Jail.

Kahild Jadoon is the accused of tampering with the evidence against Rimsha Masih and was arrested last night. He was presented in the court of magistrate Nasar Minallah by police seeking remand.

It may be recalled that Rimsha Masih has been in detention since she was allegedly found holding in her hand burnt pages with holy verses printed on them.

Khalid Jadoon, who after getting the case registered against Rimsha Masih had mysteriously disappeared and was arrested last night. According to an eyewitness account, Jadoon put the holy verses into the ashes of the pages for strengthening the case against Rimsha Masih.

Meanwhile, Chairman All Pakistan Ulema Council Allama Tahir Ashrafi has urged the ulemas from across the country to pave way for the punishment of accused Khalid Jadoon by the court. He has also demanded of the President Asif Ali to immediately get Rimsha Masih released and issue orders for her security.
