Two alleged target killers arrested in Maripur

KARACHI: Two accused involved in the target killing of more than fifty people have been arrested in Maripur area of the metropolis.

According to the police, weapons and hand grenades were also recovered from the possession of the accused.

Police arrested two alleged target killers near Hawksbay Road area of Maripur while three associates of target killers managed to escape, police said.

SSP District West Aamir Farooqi said that the accused named Waseem Pathan and Afzal are associated with Rashid Bengali group of Lyari.

The police claimed that the accused had also killed former town nazim of Keemari Zulfiqar Younis. Three hand grenades, one Kalashnikov, 1 repeater and several bullets were also recovered from their possession.
