From Khyber to Karachi people are being killed: Nawaz
LAHORE: PML-N President Nawaz Sharif said Tuesday that people were being killed from Karachi to Khyber and the government’s writ no longer existed.

Talking to media following his meeting with a 22-member delegation from Balochistan which announced its decision to join the PML-N, Nawaz Sharif asked what President Asif Ali Zardari had given to the people during the government’s five year tenure.

Nawaz stated that he was more concerned with the future of the country rather than his politics. The PML-N president reiterated that elections would take place and Pakistan would see brighter days. He added that if the government nominee for caretaker prime minister was more suitable his party would accept the decision.

The PML-N chief asked federal interior minister what steps were taken to provide security despite having information about terrorism activities.

Nawaz Sharif further said that there is a need to get united and take practical measures for rooting out terrorism. He added that people had given the government the mandate to protect their life and property not for bloodshed.
