Musharraf nomination from Chitral to be challenged
CHITRAL: An appeal will be filed at an election tribunal against the acceptance of nomination of former president Gen (retd) Pervez Musharraf from NA-32 Chitral.

Alamzeb and Khalilur-Rehman, residents of Chitral, will on Wednesday file their appeal challenging the nomination of Pervez Musharraf to contest general election from NA-32 Chitral.

The appeal contends that the former president Pervez Musharraf during his rule violated the Constitution and imposed ‘martial law’ and emergency in the country. It further states that Musharraf launched a military operation on Lal Masjid and he was also involved in the murder of Balochistan leader Nawab Akbar Bugti. “He is not ‘Sadiq’ and ‘Ameen’ (truthful and honest),” it adds.

The plea, in view of the above, prays to the election tribunal to cancel the nomination of Pervez Musharraf from NA-32 Chitral.
