Police arrest 17 including target killers in Karachi

KARACHI: Police in Karachi claimed to have arrested 17 suspects including target killers and drug dealers from different parts of the city in the last 24-hours.

According to sources, the police conducted multiple raids and detained 17 suspects among them a robber and two target killers. Sources add, that the police conducted a raid in Kalakot area on a tip-off and arrested two target killers and seized arms and ammunition from their possession. 

In other raids conducted in Baldia Town the police arrested 14 alleged drug peddlers.

In a separate incident residents of Golimaar Chorangi caught a robber after foiling his robbery attempt. The residents handed over the robber to the police but only after serving him some street justice.

According to eye witnesses, three accomplices of the robber fled the scene when a mob gathered. 

Police have registered cases and started investigations.
