LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shaheryar Khan told journalists on Saturday that the BCCI chairman has offered to hold further talks to discuss a series between Pakistan and India.
Speaking to journalists in Lahore, Khan said Shashank Manohar had telephoned him on Friday evening and expressed his desire to meet and added that the BCCI chairman presented the option of playing in Mohali and Kolkata.
Khan added, that he told Manohar clearly that Pakistan has played in India twice and now the Indian team should come to play in Pakistan. Now he is waiting to hear back from BCCI and once he gets their reply he will speak to the government, Khan said.
Sharing his concerns with his Indian counterpart, Khan said every time a Pakistani goes to India Shiv Sena and other extremist groups stand up against them making it unsafe for a series to be played in India. He has offered to host a home series at a neutral venue such as UAE.
