KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement leader Faisal Subzwari rejected a news report which claimed that he would be the next big name to join the Mustafa Kamal bandwagon.
A report published in The News today said that former Karachi mayor Mustafa Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani, dissident leaders of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement, on their arrival in Karachi from Dubai, were driven home from the airport in party leader Faisal Subzwari’s car – an indication that he too might jump the party’s ship in the coming days.
Kamal too had told the media that they had arrived at their residence in their ‘friend’s’ car. Kamal and Subzwari had also attended a convention in Lahore in January this year, the report said.
Speaking to Geo News, Subzwari called this report "misguiding, fabricated and damaging". "I have not been to the Karachi Airport since the last two months. This news is a conspiracy against me."
