Panama Leaks: Shah demands probe, Rana warns against illegal actions

LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: Terming Panama Leaks as “Shaitani Leaks” (evil leaks) and “Pajama Leaks”, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday warned unspecified people against thinking about unconstitutional actions through Panama Papers or sit-ins.

“Those hoping for unconstitutional decision through sit-ins or Pajama Leaks should not remain in misunderstanding,” he said while speaking to journalists here.

Meanwhile, Opposition leader in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah said whether the companies mentioned in Panama Papers are ‘offshore or inshore’ a probe must be conducted to get to the bottom of it.

Speaking to media persons, he expressed ignorance about offshore companies, saying he has no idea what these offshore companies are. “Whether these are offshore or inshore companies, a probe must be conducted,” he added.

“This is not to say that just because names of Nawaz Sharif’s family have come up in Panama Papers, they be apprehended,” he explained.

However, he added that a probe must be set in motion to ascertain as to how and where exactly the money came from to buy these offshore companies.
