PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday announced bringing in police reforms in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
“We will bring a new Police Act in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. We want to make the KP police department independent,” said the PTI chairman while speaking at a press conference here.
Khan said that the new reforms would ensure accountability in the police department and would stop higher-ups from unlawful transfers of any police officials.
The PTI chief is currently in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa capital on a two-day visit.
