KARACHI: Police arrested four men including Al-Qaeda sub-continent chief during a shootout in the Preedy Police Station jurisdiction on Saturday.
The four terrorists opened fire at a police mobile near Jehnagir Park, police said. They were chased and arrested. Weapons including four SMGs and a motor cycle were recovered from them.
SHO Preedy police station Kamal Naseem said that all four terrorists are educated and residents of Karachi.
Security agencies conducted raids at Shah Faisal no 3. and no 5. last night and arrested seven workers of a political party.
Rangers conducted a search operation at a furniture market in Liaquatabad and recovered Russian weapons buried underground.
The search operation was conducted after a tip off from an under custody MQM worker, a statement released by Rangers said.
Among the weapons seized there were seven machine guns, which the paramilitary suspects would be used to spread terror in Karachi.
