Rangers question PPP leader Qadir Patel’s involvement with Lyari gangs, land mafia

KARACHI: The paramilitary has asked Pakistan People’s Party leader Qadir Patel to visit the Rangers Headquarters on Thursday (tomorrow).  He will be questioned over his relation to the land mafia, Lyari gangs and other crimes, sources said.

Rangers suspect him of assisting criminals based on information gathered during interrogation of banned Aman Committee chief Uzair Baloch and Dr Asim Hussain.

Meanwhile Qadir Baloch denied the charges leveled against him for assisting terrorists as he appeared at an Anti-terror Court . “I have never called Dr Asim Hussain in my life. Statements procured from Dr Asim have no legal standing,” he said as he pleaded not guilty in the court.
