KARACHI: Sindh Rangers handed over Lyari gangster Uzair Jan Baloch to the police at the end of a 90-day physical remand in the paramilitary’s custody.
Police presented the gangster in the Sindh High Court on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Baloch confessed to 197 murders in the Joint Interrogation Report compiled by Rangers, sources told Geo News.
There are 65 cases registered in different police stations of the city, against the powerful Lyari gangster who was arrested by Rangers this year.
He confessed to killing 12 traders at the Shershah scrap market, sources told Geo News.
Baloch said that he had ordered the collective murder of Haji Aslam and his five sons, sources added.
He confessed to have ordered the kidnapping of rival gangster Arshad Pappu and three of his accomplices and then carrying out their gruesome murder. He claimed to have used two of his own cars and a police van owned by the Kalri Police Station for the murder.
In other alarming confessions, Baloch said he had appointed Saeed Jan Baloch as chairman Fisherman Cooperative Society. Saeed paid him Rs10 million every month, he said.
He claimed to have close ties with former Lyari Town Administrator Mohammad Raees, who would give Baloch 20 percent money in every deal he cracked.
Baloch confessed to transferring huge amounts of cash to foreign countries.
