Bomb hoax at government school spreads fear among parents, teachers, students

LAHORE:  A government school for girls was closed for the day after a series of phone calls to the police reported a bomb threat on Wednesday.

Fear spread among parents, teachers and students as police reached the Gulshan Ravi School at G-Block and evacuated the premises.

However after inspecting the school building, police declared that the bomb threat was a hoax.

SP Iqbal Town Investigation Shaista Nadeem said that unknown men called the police and informed of a bomb threat at Gulshan Ravi, Milat Park, Sanda and Chowbarji areas.

The phone call is being traced, he said, adding that citizens do not need to panic.
